Truck drivers rely on headache racks for semi-trucks to protect themselves and their passengers. Headache racks prevent materials or cargo in the back of your truck from sliding into the back of the cab. A hard stop or rear-end collision can loosen a truck’s load. This can send it straight through the rear of the cab, potentially causing severe injury. Unfortunately, many truck drivers mistakenly believe that all headache racks are equal. However, quality materials, tools, and craftsmanship have an impact safety. If you have an interest in purchasing a custom rack for your semi-truck, it’s essential to select the right one for your vehicle type.
Brunner headache racks offer much more than standard protection for the cab and its occupants. Our standard and custom products can include additional enclosed storage. This additional storage is great for tools, chains, or even your golf clubs. Competitor headache racks may protect the cab, but many don’t offer enclosed storage. A quality crafted headache rack can keep water and the elements away from your belongings.
Another problem with many of today’s commercially-available semi-truck accessories is that they’re made with cheap materials. Cheap materials may not provide the reliable protection you need. Brunner Fabrication uses only top-quality materials. Brunner’s distinct designs to create our highly-recognizable standard and custom models.
Our headache racks shield your cab, keep your passengers protected, and can even lower cab temperatures. They can also help protect against cab break-ins, as sliding rear windows are often left unlocked, making it all too easy for a thief to slip through. While not a total security measure, a locked cabinet still offers an added deterrent for those looking to gain access to your cab and personal property. Plus, when outfitted with a standard or custom lightbar, our racks increase the vehicle’s visibility, which is a notable safety benefit.
